Here is how to get TFS 2010 query folders working

I posted this on a separate discussion, but I thought I would post it in its own so that it is easy for others to find:

I updated the code to allow WI Queries in folders to work (for TFS 2010).  It is not really that pretty, but it works...

Here is how to get it for you:

  1. Download the source
  2. Open the solution found under the TFS2010 directory.
  3. Open the file ProcessTemplate.cs file found in the TFSLBALib project
  4. Copy the code from and paste it over the code in ProcessTemplate.cs
  5. Download the ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll from here and replace the reference to it in the TFSLBALib and WITSynchronizer projects with the location of where you put the dll.
  6. Compile

That should do it.  It will now work for folders as well as root level queries.

I would have liked to change the code to use an object for the queries, rather than do string parsing... but time is always limited.

Thanks, I'll look at your code when I'll have the time to.

I'm currently working on the revamp of the app and I'm almost done, there's a bit of code left for the WIQL synchronisation and looks like you've done it! :)

I hope to release a TFS 2010 version soon.

Any luck on the TFS 2010 Version of this tool?
